Straight Gene, Gay Gene,... and Profanity!
There is no "Straight gene." There is no "Gay gene." "Straight" and "Gay" are not the only possibilities! Sometimes the gene mixture produces an Intersexual person. (If you don't know what that is, study through several articles about it!) Sometimes, the Intersexual person blooms to feel like a woman who wants to fall in love with another woman. Sometimes, parents and doctors get it wrong by assigning the person the wrong gender. Sometimes, people assume the child is straight from the get go! Like a flower, it takes time for the blooming to happen. Sometimes, the mix produces a male child who wants to fall in love with a female and he enjoys painting his face with make up and he enjoys wearing clothing items he finds in a "women's" department. Some "boys" like the color pink and hate sports. Some "girls" wanna play football and wear their hair in a crew cut. Some individuals are aggressive. Some passive. Some are a mixture of passive and aggressive. Sometimes, the mix produces someone who never has interest in sexual intimacy at all. ......................... Yea, it's complex! Complicated!
When a person is behaving in ways that bring harm to other people, then it makes sense to address the behavior and seek to remedy the matter so that everyone wins. But, when a person's behavior is NOT harming others, then leave well enough alone. Forcing a child into a gender mold can be harmful to that person. It's not a win-win scenario! Forcing a child into a sexual orientation can be harmful. It's not a win-win scenario.........!
Just because one is a heterosexual who is married and (presumably) has someone with whom to happily be in love, happily enjoy sexual intimacy among all sorts of interactions by which the two can produce win-win results everyday does NOT qualify his / her prescription of heterosexuality as the just answer to everyone else's happiness. It doesn't privilege him / her with any special right to use God's name in vain. His / Her sloppy handling of the word of truth breathed by the God is profanity and should be treated as such!

Charles Darwin
<<<<------Wishes people would actually READ Charles Darwin own writings before they reveal their idiocies about his work. He was meticulous, diligent, very detailed, and passionately engaged in study. He didn't just make stuff up! Misquoting him / misrepresenting his work, his ideas, his statements and questions is just no way to be on the side of righteousness. (I'd say the same things about Bible translations, Ayn Rand, John Dewey, Maria Montessouri, John Calvin, John Wesley, etc., etc., etc!). :)
Jesus Christ ... My Lord!
I'm not lecturing. I'm not intending to instruct. I'm speaking for no one else other than myself. I'm reflecting and highlighting a bit of my own synthesis. For the sake of brevity, there are many thoughts I've chosen to exclude.
Deliberately, I choose to make Jesus Christ my Lord! It's my choice to follow him, and become more like him everyday. Thus, it's my choice to pursue knowing him more and more everyday. I'm not ashamed of his Gospel. I want to know him and love him, as impossible as it may be to achieve, and knowing it is the love of God commanded towards me, as much as he knows and loves me. I believe that part of the path that keeps me heading in the right direction is logic / logos.
I've come to believe that logic / logos (non-contradictory reason without flaw) is God breathed and is an absolute essential to our existence and our living most fully, abundantly, and potentially. It's not of human origin, therefore reason (when 100% true, 100% pure, 100% without error) is God breathed. We live by every "word" that proceeds out of the mouth of God. There's no other way that can happen. Not now. Not ever.
"Sin" is any amount damage caused and set in motion due to any amount of error from our use and reproductions of logic and reason. It's like a seed of death and/or a seed of hell planted in the ground. It's like leaven in dough. It's like a little bit of rot in a product. All errors, no matter how small, no matter how great, are satanic. They are exponentially damaging. The father of them desires only to steal, kill, and destroy. Such theft, killing, and destruction can take place a little bit at a time, all at once, or some measures in between. The wages of sin is (and always will be) death. Death is (and will always be) the evidence that sin has been (whether we are aware of it or not, even if by default, no matter how innocently, no matter how little or much we've contributed to it) "going viral" within our entire being. But, God's word is also like a seed, is like leaven in dough, is like a little bit of heaven, is like a little bit of eternal life. Life is the evidence that God has other plans for us. Eternal life is evidence that God's Word is absolute and absolutely right! Embracing logic / logos is key to sowing seeds of righteousness.
I doubt that I have embraced 100% logic, 100% reason, 100% truth, 100% righteousness, 100% flawless reasons 100 of the time. I believe there is no "almost true." There is no "almost right." I believe the path of 100% truth, 100% righteousness, 100% logic, 100% flawless reason is razor sharp.
No! Wait! Let me change that!
I know I have failed, but I know in whom I've put my trust, and I know whose knowledge of me is 100% without flaw. Eternal life will be the evidence not that I always knew and did the absolute right thing, but that He absolutely always did, I'm sure!
(Again, all of the above is abrupt, and serves only (how ever inadequately) to reflect some of my own thoughts at this moment. None of it was intended to instruct.)

Heterosexual Chauvanism ....
If it smells like heterosexual chauvanism, if it looks like heterosexual chauvanism, if it reads like heterosexual chauvanism, if it sounds, appears, or quacks like heterosexual chauvanism, it probably is. I'll not accept it as unquestionable. I'll not accept it as justice. I'll not accept it as righteous. I'll not accept as "God's way." I'll not accept it as superior. I'll not accept it as desirable. I'll treat it for what it is and critique accordingly.
I'll do my best to do the same for other types of chauvanism.
Hi Everyone!
Hi Guys! What's new today? Well, a $402.25 tuition payment will be pulled out of my bank account today! OUCH! The funds are there, but still OUCH! I don't want to look at my bank balance for awhile! Know what I mean? The payment is for the fall semester, which starts on August 20, after which I'll be ready for graduation and state board testing for my license. Then what? Well, isn't that every graduate's question? Time will tell, right?
Went to Walmart last night! Honestly, I just wanted to get out of the house, and I had already made a shopping list, so...! Can you believe I spent about an hour looking for a spray bottle (so I can spray apple cider vinegar on my face and hair after showering -- works as a toner and helps seal in color for a gazillion dollars cheaper than specialty products!)! I looked in the garden section, the home section, the plastic containers section. I finally found one in the chemical cleaning supplies section. It was larger than what I had in mind, but it was for less and a buck, so I got it. Now it's sitting on my bathroom sink half full of apple cider vineger ready for use!
Last night, I found out that baby oil really does remove eye make up (including mascara) better than "eye makeup remover." Yea, I bought some that has a hint of lavender scent. My canine child loves it too! She licked and licked my face, eyes, and ears -- maybe it was the apple cider vinegar). Yea, she gives me that special facial every night before going to bed and when she says it's time to wake up (Amazing how she does that right at 7 a.m. every morning). If I close my eyes again, she tap my face with a paw. If I keep doing that, she begin to bark. If I place my hands over my face and play "peek-a-boo," she'll bark a bunch of times. Oh, I've got a few drops of that baby oil combed through my hair now, Hmm! That's giving me some styling ideas (that slicked, lavender scented look)!
Hey, I bought frozen waffles last night! Yea! Pancakes are so easy to make, so I make 'em from scratch. But, waffles! Ya gotta have a waffle iron, and there isn't one at the homestead! Twenty-four of them in a box, not bad! I wonder for how long they'll last! I ate two on this morning, and I told Mom and Dad, "Look, I bought waffles!"
I think I drank some really bad instant coffee! This is gonna seem really YUCKY, but for the past several nights, I've been having to jump out of bed and head for the toilet. Talk about YUCK! I can't think of anything else I've ingested that's been making that happen to me. So, openned a new jar (different brand) last night, and I slept like a baby all night. I hope I'm correct. That BAD coffee was only $1.00 a jar, so I bought two of them! I never dreamed they'd be so cruel! I'll keep drinking the new jar's contents and monitor myself. I never imagined such things happened from drinking instant coffee! I prefer french pressed coffee, or espresso, or dripped brewed (in that order), but sometimes (actually often) I'm in a hurry and don't want to deal with the coffee grinds. With instant coffee, just spoon it, add hot water, stir it, and I'm good!
I finally signed up for Instagram! What do you guys think of it? I use the same name there as I do here.
I want to go thrift store shopping so bad! I'd better build up the money supply a bit at the bank first. That tuition payment ... OUCH!

I don't want you to stand in the way of me loving whosoever I wish to love...!
I'll be clear! I've never asked anyone to "like" homosexuality! It's okay with me if you think of it as disgusting! (sort of what I think about heterosexuality in spite of owing my existence to it). What I want you to do is stay out of my way of loving whosoever I happen to love. I want you to keep your arrogant anti-gayism out of my way. I am totally okay with homosexuality. In fact, I enjoy it. I'm certain that I did not "choose" to be homosexual, but even if I did, I'd still want you to stop ordering me around about my own love life. It's okay for you to believe I'm going to hell! I don't care what you believe. I will allow you no more say about my love life than you will allow me about yours! :)

"All things are lawful, but not all things are expedient," and some of my reflections about "sin."
"All things are lawful, but not all things are expedient."
"Sin" is the harmful consequence of having done something, of having said something, of having thought something. It's not the doing, the saying, or the thinking. I reiterate that it's the harmful consequence set in motion. As such, it is a seed whose nature is to grow and produce more (possibly abundantly more) of itself.
For example, using a piece of information (true or false) can be used to produce harm. It doesn't matter whether the harm was intentional or not. Once the harm is set in motion, it runs its course. Let's say that it's as simple as a bit of false information - like a wrong phone number, or a wrong address, the mispelling of a name or place. When one believes the information to be correct (righteous) when, indeed, it is false, one can easily set harm (even if it's minor) in motion whether intended or not. The harm is planted in ones mind as well as in ones environments as one behaves / acts according to the erroneous belief.
For example, speaking a word (and remember that words are concentrations of thought) and/or a string of words can be used to produce harm. Again, it doesn't matter whether harm was the intended consequence or not. Once harm is set in motion, it runs its course. Think about a child who says a monster is under the bed or an adult who says (believes and acts accordingly) that "science is evil."
For example, uncritically embracing an emotional impulse, can set harm in motion. It doesn't matter whether harm is the intended concequence or not. The effect will run it's course.
For example, a physical action (swallowing, picking up something, hitting something, jumping off of a platform, etc) can plant a seed of harm. It doesn't matter whether the harmful consequence is intended or not. Once planted, it will run its course.
For example, a social interaction can plant a seed of harm that will run its course. It doesn't matter whether the harmful consequnce is intended or not. Once set in motion, it runs its course.
Economic harm, intellectual harm, physcial harm, social harm, emotional harm, spiritual harm not only work individually, but together. The environments in which they can be planted include the internal environment of the planter as well as the external. The harm can flourish in a compounded way.
Jumping off of a platform would not always be sinful. If one is wearing proper gear and uses the gear properly, one can jump out of an airplane flying high in the sky and reap good consequences.
Eating food is not always sinful. But, if one has food allergies, then eating some foods would be sinful. Over indulgence can be sinful. Not eating enough can be sinful.
Drinking wine is not always sinful, but drinking too much can lead to harmful consequences. Drinking too much of anything can be harmful.
Enjoying sex is not always sinful. But, like many other activities sex engages intimacy not only on the physical level, but on emotional, social, intellectual, economic, and spiritual levels as well. Once could be setting harm in motion on one of the levels or on several (if not all) of them. The harm set in motion runs its course within ones internal and external evironments.
Sin is the reward, the punishment for having used ones resource/s towards harm whether intended or not.
The wages of sin is death. Of course! That's the ultimate consequence. One could say "sin is a little bit of death set in motion."
But, the gift of God is eternal life. Righteousness (the opposite of sin) sets life in motion. Once planted (set in motion) it runs its course. Ultimate, the eternal life is the consequence for righteousness.
Chances are, our lives are a blend of righteousness and sin. We're alive, because we've more righteousness working in our favor than sin. Eventually, sin will catch up, and we will experience death as a consequence, but the righteousness of God has been applied towards our account through God's commanded love towards us than "while we were yet sinner, Christ died for us." Death is only an interruption, not an end. It will vindicate God's word about sin and righteousness. We shall see!

The "Law of God."
Abruptly speaking, and as I see it, the law of God is not about "God telling anyone what to do," not about "God ordering anyone around, or else...," not about "If you don't obey me, I am going to kill you." It's about understanding that God has put into place all that we need to "work out our own salvation (pursuit of happiness) with fear and trembling (growing in understanding that we'll experience consequences for our errors and successes in understanding). The law of God provides us benchmarks to clue us in on how we're doing AND to clue us in when we've embraced (even by default, or subcounciously) errors. They're not "commands" to rotely obey. They're guiding principals. We must THINK. We must utilize resources available to us. We must demonstrate concern for our neighbors. We must avoid trying to coerce others. We must work towards RIDDING barriors. We must work towards building family kinship with one another. We must demonstrate concern for the "weakest" among us. We must continually learn LOVE. The Gospel of Jesus Christ affirms that God loves the world, and desires that we learn what His love can do for us and what can result when we, even inadvertently, resist (abandon, bypass, ignore, care less about) His love. He commanded His love towards us. His love is there for the taking, not in a greedy way but in a way that enables / empowers us to share and strengthen everyone as if we all were ONE body. The law of God is about the love of God for now and forever.

"De principio a fin"
I absolutely adored this movie. It's the stuff my dreams have been made of since I was a child (not necessarily with my own brother, but I have enjoyed many dreams with a brother in it....). That brotherly love, to my mind, adds so much more to Gay love. My only regrets about the movie are 1) No English subtitles; and 2) the life they had was just too perfect (so much money and so ideal). Still, I understood enough of the language to understand the movie, and it will be one of my very favorites....! Thank you so much for sharing it!

ON THE STREET: HOMOSEXUALITY IN AFRICA
The PROBLEM is NOT 'homosexuality." The PROBLEM is the collection of falsehoods about it that people embrace / believe.

"Holiness of God"
I don't view the holiness of God as a matter of terror, but as a matter of Total Beauty, Total Awesomeness, Totally desirable, Totally Peaceful, Totally Right ... it's like light to an insect, for it draws people. It's fragrance is like honeysuckle to a honey bee. It's what we want! It's food for us to enjoy! It quenches our thirst. That's my view, and I'm holding on to it!
"Revelation" ...
I don't think of "revelation" as something God showed anyone at any point in time. Instead, I see it as human beings coming to terms, beginning to see, beginning to understand, beginning to grasp something that's been true all along. As I see it, God has put it all out there, and we humans have been wonderfully endowed with capacity to go into it all and grow! How awesome is that! :)

Dear Independents, Demonocrats, Republicans, etc., 2016 is not far away!
I'll bet that how Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transexuals are treated (legally and otherwise) will be a matter of importance in the election campaign for 2016! Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transexuals and people who support them are not going away, and I'll bet they will not remain silent! Hopeful candidates for USA president, Senators, Representatives, Governors, etc., I predict you will NOT WIN if your campaign does NOT SUPPORT Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transexuals.
